International German Casemod Championship introduces new categories and starts registration phase

From 24 - 26 January, DreamHack Leipzig will be the meeting place for fans of unusual designs and high-quality technology. From Thursday, the  7th November from 18 o'clock until Sunday, 8th December, 23 o'clock, interested Modder can apply on the DCMM website for a participation in the Casemod championship richest in tradition world-wide. The 18th DCMM introduces three new categories: WithCAM (computer aided modding)", cases containing elements from laser cutting, 3D printing or CNC lasers are also approved and evaluated for the first time - special attention is paid here to the design aspect. All modders who have participated in the DCMM only once so far will automatically compete for a place on the winner's podium in the additional category „Newcomer“. From November 25th the registration on the DCMM website for the new „LAN category" starts, where the cases will be exhibited in the LAN area of DreamHack and evaluated by the DCMM jury.

 

In addition to the new categories, modders can apply from November 7th for the tried and tested disciplinesCaseMod" (Case Modification - modified computer cases from industrial series production), „Casecons" (Case Construction - self-designed and built cases), „CE-Mods“  (Consumer Electronics - converted other cases, except computers) and the „Livemodding-Challenge" in a team of two (Modding live in front of festival visitors). In the categoriesmost spectacular creation" and „the most beautiful beauty case", visitors can vote on the result of the decision.

The International German Casemod Championship is organized by planetlan GmbH in cooperation with DreamHack Leipzig and has been an integral part of the national and international casemodding scene since the first championship in 2002. The participants work with great passion on their works of art, which the festival visitors can then admire.
